Recent Grants

Strategic and Mini Grants were given to the following organizations in 2021:

Arts and Culture: Grants to nonprofits providing art programs.

  • Symphoria - Awarded $10,000 to fund its return to Oswego in July to present a free outdoor community concert on the historic grounds of Fort Ontario.

Economic Revitalization: Grants to organizations to promote community revitalization.

  • Fulton Family YMCA - Awarded a grant of $70,000 in support of the opening of its new childcare program for children ages 6 months to 5 years.

Education: Grants to schools and organizations with educational programs.

  • Kingsford Park Home & School Association - Received $35,000 to complete its planned new playground.

Health & Human Services: Grants to nonprofits providing social and human services.

  • Farnham Family Services - Awarded a grant of $130,000 to enable the organization to take over the Harbor Lights facility in northern Oswego County.
  • Fulton Wrestling Club - Received $75,000 for its brand new facility being built in Fulton.
  • The Salvation Army of Oswego County - Received $15,000 for bridge funding to keep its award-winning Pathway of Hope program going until its New York State regional economic funding is received.
