Future Teen Park will link Nature Trail in Fulton

Friends of Fulton Parks and city officials are looking to establish what they're calling the Teen Park in Fulton along Lake Neatahwanta, which would also help bridge a gap in an existing city nature trail.

The Teen Park is in the preparation phase of surveys, documentation and raising funds for a matching grant awarded to Friends of Fulton Parks from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

“While we are grateful for the $47,000 committed to the project so far, our goal is twice that amount; we can only be reimbursed for funds that are raised and spent on the proposed project” said Kelley Weaver, FoFP.

The Teen Park landscape design will include a portion of the Lake Neatahwanta Nature Trail.

Financial contributions can be made online at CrowdRise.com/Fulton-Teen-Park or mailed to P.O. Box 572 Fulton NY.

Fulton Parks Superintendent Barry Ostrander, Tim Carroll, nature trail crew leader, and Kelley Weaver of Friends of Fulton Parks stand at the site of the future Teen Park in Fulton, which will also link the city's nature trail.
