RSVP Osteo Bone Builders Program. Will leverage the expertise of RSVP volunteers to build a professional model for the Osteo Bone Builders Program, aligned with the founder's vision that can be replicated within Oswego County and beyond.

Fulton Chapter: Received grant for its weekend backpack program for 250 children in the Fulton City School District.

Long Point Summer Camp: Funding will send 20 campers from Oswego County to Long Point Summer Camp. 

Received funds for its 2020 Christmas Fund.

Awarded a mini-grant to support a redesign of its website.

Provided funds so that comfort bags can be provided to individuals under hospice care in their homes.

Funds will support the respite weekends of caregiving couples from Oswego County. David's Refuge works to breathe life into these caregivers, reducing their stress level and providing them with the chance to connect to other caregiving parents.

Circle of Security Parenting: This project will establish an attachment-based parenting intervention and parenting program in Oswego County. Expected outcomes will be parents that become more effective caregivers.

Funds will be used to increase services to more couples this year with expanded outreach and partnerships in Oswego County.

Funding to implement the Health Highway Program in two Oswego City elementary schools as a pilot program for Oswego County. The goal of the program is to increase knowledge of healthy food choices and promote healthy choices regarding physical activity and nutrition. 

Awarded bridge funding through September to support a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Coordinator in Oswego County.

Child Advocacy Learning Collaborative: This project aims to provide a learning collaborative for forensic interviewers in Oswego County with the intended outcome of improving their expertise. 

Funds will be used to provide supervision and ensure safe, drug free emergency housing for at least 60 individuals in the first year; and help them obtain safe, affordable housing and necessary services within 30 days of emergency placement.

Increase capacity of produce production to feed local food banks while teaching camp children about the environment and providing a new model of land use for other camps.

Funding to support its blood services capacity-building project, which will speed up its delivery of blood across New York state.

The Oswego chapter was awarded to expand its aluminum ramp program to enable more house-bound individuals to get out into the community.

Received grant to promote its 30th anniversary of work in health and human services.

Awarded grant for its Weekend Backpack Program for 150 children in the Hannibal school district.

Funds will be used for an Alcohol Awareness Campaign, which includes an agency license to provide Responsible Server Training to liquor licensed facilities across the county.

Start-up funding for development of a marketing plan and holistic educational programs- Key Note Speaker for 2017 Holistic Wellness Fair, a 2-part series on healthy eating by a holistic nutritionist, new mindful meditation weekly series, and developing a lending library and new promotional materials.

Home Access For All: Home Access for All is a two-part program. It will use the CAPS (Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist) assessment process to educate the community, perform assessments, and make it possible for people to prevent falls, remain safely at home or return from a hospital, rehab center or nursing home.

Dogs2Vets Service Dog Training Program: As a growing organization, Clear Path for Veterans will use these funds to create remote training sites and reduce barriers Veterans face by bringing these sites closer to them. The first site will be at Paws Across Oswego County, a collaborator on this project.

Awarded a revitalization grant for the relocation of its Oswego office.

Funds will be used to add dedicated equipment for their Inclusive Sports program that will eliminate the present redundant mileage cost associated with using their weekly program equipment.

Received $15,000 for bridge funding to keep its award-winning Pathway of Hope program going until its New York State regional economic funding is received.

This grant will fund "Healthy Families Oswego," a new county pilot of the Healthy Families New York Home Visiting program.

This grant will be used to increase its outreach efforts.

Funds will used to build an outdoor riding arena to provide training for youth and veterans.

This project will improve Hulett Park in Fulton by upgrading playground equipment.  Friends of Fulton Parks works to coordinate new and exciting park projects throughout Fulton and surrounding communities.

This grant will be used to build its capacity to serve at risk children ages 6-18 through adult mentorship and pairing with rescued animals.

Mash Camps

This grant will provide the CAC with resources and equipment to enhance the investigation and prosecution of child abuse investigations through the purchase of state of the art video equipment that will be used to address and reduce crimes against children, minimize the costs associated with such, and have a lasting impact on the healing of child abuse victims and their families in Oswego County.

Matching grant for new or increased employee contributions from OCO and Huhtamaki

Awarded funds to assist with completion of its Youth Center building in the town of Hastings at Van Lieu Park.

This grant will fund an initiative, "BeWell in Oswego," to provide emotional wellness services to older adults and practicum training to SUNY Oswego students.

Funds used for promotion and marketing of Oswego County Hospice's services. The goal will be to educate the community about the family-centered care that Oswego County Hospice provides and to provide the tools to the medical community to understand when and how to make referrals to Oswego County Hospice.

The grant's intent is for seed funding of operational expenses for one year.

Awarded a grant to complete the construction project for a residential home for women with substance use disorders designed to build a community of sobriety and support.

Funds will be used to purchase aluminum ramps for terminally ill people referred by Oswego County Hospice, making it possible for those individuals to remain at home with their families and continue to have access to the community.

Received funding on behalf of Prevention Support Partners for its Circle of Security Parenting 2017-18 scholarship program to train staff at six agencies in the county on this internationally recognized, evidence-based parenting program.

Received funding on behalf of Prevention Support Partners to bring in a Circle of Security Parenting International trainer to provide four days of training to 40 individuals representing eight agencies across Oswego County.

Awarded funding in partnership with the Oswego County Health Department, to implement the interactive Healthy Highway program in all 23 Oswego County elementary schools in the 2018-2021 academic years.

Funds awarded to OCO for their SAF Shelter and program for a new security system and fencing around the shelter to increase the level of security for residents and staff.

Funds will be used to establish the first Adult Social Day Care program in Oswego County called "The Cornerstone Club."

In jeopardy of reducing services due to a decrease in funding, funds will help support OCO’s Call-N-Ride program in order to sustain the current level of operations over the next year while alternative funds are secured.

The Oswego City Police Department’s (OPD) embedded mental health clinician will work with local officers and develop crisis response plans to assist those within the community living with mental health disorders (MHDs) and co-occurring mental health substance use disorders (MHSUDs) who have high rates of contact with emergency services.

Northwest Family YMCA: This is a challenge/matching grant for up to $100,000, payable over five years, toward the last $1 million of their capital campaign.

Capacity-building grant to hire a fund development director with an initial installment of $60,000 and the remaining $60,000 payable over two years. 

Awarded funding in support of its capital campaign to renovate and expand Crouse Hospital's regional neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) to provide state-of-the art support services to at-risk babies and their mothers.

A capital project for a 33,920 SF capacity expansion for their existing facility that includes 20,800 SF of dedicated space for volunteers to sort and pack food, 6,970 SF of warehouse storage, and 6,330 SF of office space to accommodate staff increases.

This start-up non-profit was awarded a grant to resupply and expand its inventory of books, toys, and games. This toy lending library serves the Oswego County community as well as surrounding Oneida and Onondaga.

Received funding for its Leotta Park Pavilion Project. 

Funds will be used for addition of drainage ditches/ swales and tile work at two farm sites. The project will allow more acreage to be planted which will in turn provide more produce to food banks, homeless shelters and needy individuals throughout Central New York.

This grant will enable the organization to complete the renovation project started in 2014 by fixing up the bathrooms and making both handicapped accessible.

SUNY Oswego Metro Center Satellite Studio: The funds from this grant will help in the creation of a downtown Syracuse studio to be used for news and public affairs program production, training opportunities for SUNY Oswego media students, and occasional live radio broadcasts.

Thrive Initiative

Received funds to make much needed repairs and upgrades to its main building facility.

To hire a consultant to lead it in a strategic community assessment and planning process to help the library's board create a strong strategic framework for the future that best meets the needs of the community.

Kid Haven Clubhouse Renovation: The renovation will replace the foot, strengthen and repair the foundation and general structure and includes a much needed addition, modernizes the snack bar and bathrooms and makes the building wheelchair accessbile. 

Received grant in support of the installation of a security system at the newly renovated Teen Park at Recreation Park.

Funds will be used to complete Phase 2 improvements of the Rehabilitating Recreation Park project. Phase 2 improvements include restoration of the picnic shelter (pavilion) at Recreation Park.

This grant will be used to continue the revitalization of the town park. Funding provided to resurface the basketball court in the spring.

Awarded a capacity-building grant to revitalize the Oswego and Fulton Farmers Markets.

Oswego Little League offers students from a wide range of ages to participate and grow as players and community members. The funds from this grant will be used to build batting cages in the Fort Ontario complex for players to work on their batting skills.

This matching grant will be used for the winner of the upcoming 2017 Next Great Idea Business Plan Competition.

Community revitalization grant for replacement of obsolete equipment in time for the new lacrosse season.

This grant will be used towards the state Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation matching challenge grant for the unique Teen Play Space at Recreation Park on the shores of Lake Neatahwanta.

Awarded funding to pay for the construction of a large, previously donated municipal-quality playground system.

Received funding for the installation of basketball and volleyball courts and fencing on the village-owned property adjacent to the Oswego River.

Funding will be use to build a pole barn to alleviate cramped conditions in the main barn used for programming for children that have emotional trauma from neglect, abuse or other causes.

City of Oswego housing and market conditions study

A grant was awarded to Girl Scout Troop 10871 in Central Square to fund Phase 2 of its inclusive playground in 2022.

Oswego County Community Foundation: This was a matching grant over two years. The first payment of $50,000 was made in 2014, the second payment of $50,000 was made in March of 2015. These funds will help grow the endowment of the Oswego County Community Foundation which, in turn, will allow the Oswego County Community Foundation to meet the changing needs of the community.

Camp Zerbe repairs

Received funding as part of its capital campaign to raise 25% of the total funds needed to secure a New York State Library Construction Grant for expansion of the library in order to provide more services to Parish area residents.

Received funding for its Haldane Center Improvement Project to maximize use of the facility's ice rink, sports fields and walking trails.

Awarded grant for workforce development efforts. Digital signage will be installed and new technology, including laptops and a recharging station, will be purchased in order to establish a portable computer lab at the Career Center satellite office at the Department of Social Services building in Mexico.

To support its Camp and Outdoor Recreation for Youth – designed as an outdoor recreation space – that provides summer and after-school programming to local youth.

In support of its Fulton Dream Courts project. Located on the Fulton War Memorial campus, this planned outdoor construction project will dramatically expand the amount of programming offered and number of youths served.

Oswego County Community Foundation: matching grant over two years for new funds contributed to the newly formed Oswego County Community Foundation. The first payment of $50,000 was made in 2014. These funds will help grow the endowment of the Oswego County Community Foundation which, in turn, will allow the Oswego County Community Foundation to meet the changing needs of the community.

This grant will fund a collaborative program with local school art teachers to encompass an eclectic art exhibition including tours of the art gallery on campus.

Funds will be used to build a new scholarship fund to assist talented middle and high school performing arts students in Oswego County.

Funds will be used for a collaborative program called Vision of Sound Project brought to Oswego and Fulton, culminating in a program of live music and dance at Waterman Theater in February 2017.

Awarded grant to fund a collaboration between numerous community organizations for Keepers of the Lighthouse event to be held in July.

Received funding to bring all 300 Oswego High School 10th grade students to a February 27 performance and after performance discussion with actors at SUNY Oswego.

Awarded funding for several virtual Christmas concerts in the county during December.

Received funds to assist with the restoration of historic Casey's Cottage at Mexico Point Park.

Awarded a mini grant to continue its Young Artist Experience program, offering after school art sessions throughout the 2022-23 school year.

In partnership with Fort Ontario and CNY Arts, The H. Lee White museum is spearheading a professional production of an award winning play to commemorate the crucial 1814 Battle of Oswego during the War of 1812, The Great Rope.

Funds will be used for the safe installation of theatre lighting equipment at their new location at the Fulton Cayuga Community College campus. The goal is to eliminate trip hazards on the floor and provide more direct lighting onstage.

Received funds for its 2019 Art Outreach Program.

Outside Arts, Engaging our Community: With work being done to SUNY Oswego's Waterman Theatre, ARTSwego will be engaging a campus and community audience by bringing events to locations such as public parks, workplaces, libraries or even street corners.

Funds will be used to hire a marketing intern for one year to guide the organization with the public relations and marketing of its programs and productions, increasing awareness of the organization and audience participation in productions to maintain the organization’s place in the cultural life of the greater Oswego community.

Big Concerts. Small Town: This project provides concerts for underserved portions of Oswego County. Funds from this grant will help ensure these concerts continue and increase quality, diversity, and profile of performing groups as well as apply best practices in marketing, fundraising, outreach, and better technology.

Awarded a grant to revamp its website and develop a user-friendly online registration system.

In collaboration with six other art organizations, the grant was awarded to promote the Bemelmans Festival at Fort Ontario in May 2017.

Grant is for its touring "Sequential Dramatics Program."

To fund its return to Oswego in July to present a free outdoor community concert on the historic grounds of Ft. Ontario.

Grant will be used to promote Oswego County's art, cultural and historic venues across a ten county region via a comprehensive billboard, print and TV digital marketing campaign.

Received a grant award to conduct targeted marketing with the goal of increasing its membership and audience.

Oswego Music Hall: Replace outdated and worn out sound equipment to improve sound, produce more sophisticated shows, attract modern sound technicians and engineers, and increase professionalism, public perception and participation.

Awarded $10,000 to fund its return to Oswego in July to present a free outdoor community concert on the historic grounds of Fort Ontario.

This capacity building grant will be used for redevelopment of its brand and website.

This grant will be used for revitalization of the ceramics studio and upgrading of 55 year old equipment to make the studio more inviting and functional.

Sound equipment and school drama program

This is a capacity-building grant awarded to LaVeck Concerts for new initiatives to increase audience attendance and funding support.

To support an artist-in-residence program. Further enhancements would be to expand the center's hours and offer additional digital arts programming and resources to the community.

Funds will be used for a marketing initiative, "Fulton's Future Project," to develop a vibrant arts community in Fulton.

Received the grant in support of its capital campaign to fund its expansion and move into the old Sibley's Building in downtown Syracuse.

Oswego Music Hall: This grant will be used for digital stage lighting and control system, and materials and signage for a new stage panel.

Received a capacity-building grant to create two functioning studios in currently unused space that will be dedicated to youth in the community.

Funds will be used for completion of final Phase 2 renovations in its new building in Fulton.

Awarded funding to arts and culture organizations across the county that have experienced a huge decline in revenues due to COVID-19.

Funds will be used for its December 7 performance at St. Mary's Church in Oswego and its summer 2018 concert at Fort Ontario.

Received grant for the December 6 performance of the "Messiah" at St. Mary's Church in Oswego, its summer 2019 concert at Fort Ontario, and expansion of its musical performances into Oswego County libraries.

Funds will be used in the planning and execution of two orchestra performances in Oswego, one at Breitbeck Park and the other at Oswego Middle School this summer and fall respectively.

Awarded funds to build the capacity of its year-round Theater Arts Youth Academy.

In collaboration with SUNY Oswego and New York City-based The Acting Company, ARTSwego is developing a new project that uses theater to engage the community, advances collaboration among college and high school theater and education programs, and helps propel CNY college and high school students into their chosen field. Hamilton College, LeMoyne College, Hobart & William Smith Colleges, and a group of area high schools are a part of this consortium.

This is a capacity building grant for LaVeck Concerts. Now in its seventh year, LaVeck Concerts provides 5-6 concerts per year at the Pulaski Congregational Church, bringing the majesty of classical music to new audiences and making a small community proud of an absolutely world-class experience.

Received a capacity-building grant to purchase a movie-projection system.

Connect community members of all ages with the excitement of live classical music through a three-part project, Creating Community through Music in and for Oswego area youth and families.

Funds will enable the organization to expand outreach to 5 school districts and the general population of Oswego County.

Funds will be used to offer fun, educational activities, such as the S.T.E.A.M. station and the Robotics station, to children this year at the Harborfest Children’s Park in Oswego.

Received funding for its Children's Park to feature STEM activities.

Awarded funds for the expansion of a community-involved endeavor allowing for families to participate in sap collection and the creation of a finished maple syrup product.

Funds will be used to further build the parks capacity. The goal is to provide additional, positive, educational and engaging activities to children.

Funds will be used for legal fees to incorporate and achieve 501c3 status to operate more efficiently and be more effective at fund raising. The Oswego Bookmobile is truly a collaborative effort with such partners as the Oswego Public Library, Oswego College Foundation, and the Oswego City School District.

Funds will be used in the production of the documentary entitled, "You Know My Name But You Don't Know My Story," which brings real stories and experiences about those with hearing disabilities living and working in CNY into the public eye to combat ignorance and create empathy to build a cohesive community.

Children's park

Community revitalization grant for completion of its planned new playground.

Funds will be used for the one day College Life program this spring at Fulton’s Cayuga Community College campus, giving 9th and 10th grade girls in Oswego County the opportunity to expand their horizons and learn what it would be like to go to college.

Received funds for its 2017 Harborfest Children’s Park in Oswego.

Prepared For Life: Rural and Underserved Youth Scouting Outreach: $6,950. Funding for this project will allow The Longhouse Council to create and distribute marketing materials and program supplies to provide scouting programs to underserved rural populations in Oswego County to increase youth scouting membership.

Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo partner with the Fulton YMCA to provide field trips to the zoo and environmental/wildlife conservation education to students in Oswego County. The project will include field trips to the zoo for 90 Fulton YMCA campers in the summer of 2024 and a six-session learning series for the YMCA’s Girls Rock 7th and 8th graders during the 2024-2025 school year.

To support outreach, education, and literacy within Oswego County.

Grant will be used to support the implementation of two new programs: Trading Post and Little Scholars Preschool.

Funds will support the Sequential Dramatics Program to help keep arts education in the school system.

Starting in 2011, Say Yes' Collaborative Summer Success Academy allows recent high school graduates to get a head start on their college studies by offering 6 credits over 5 weeks. These funds will allow the program to expand to include students from a wide range of colleges in Central New York, including SUNY Oswego.

Enabling Parents program for parents of children with autism

Funds  will be used for professional photography for the artifacts in a new interactive Visitors Center Exhibit at the Fort. This project will be an important catalyst in spurring the movement to designate Fort Ontario as a National Park.

Traveling Exhibit: Onondaga Historical Association is using funding to create a traveling exhibit for their current exhibit, "19th Century Photographer George N. Barnard: Ever a New Season," who took photographs of Oswego during the mid-19th century as well as battles during the Civil War. 

This project will enable the church to make building modifications and offer their facility as a training center, partnering with other community agencies to provide public education in the area of Parenting Skills, Life Skills and other areas such as budgeting and money management.

Funds will be used in five school districts in Oswego County to provide professional live theatre that directly enforces what students learn in the classroom.

At the Art Studio: This grant will be used to expand the age range of students and offer two programs in the summer.

Support of Merry-Go-Round Youth Theater Sequential Dramatics program sites in Oswego County.

Funds will be used to enhance the museum’s reach in Oswego County for students and educators alike to experience the Museum and its collection through onsite visits and outreach efforts in Oswego County.

Award to the Math & Science Advancement for Underrepresented Students project to ensure that underrepresented students receive assistance through Math & Science grants. The program will strategically advise two-year students to pursue Bachelor's degrees in STEM fields and strengthen the relationship of the program with SUNY Oswego.

Project Engage: Support of summer residential engineering program for high-ability middle school girls run by the College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University. Goal of the program is to increase the number of women in the engineering talent pool with ties to Central New York.

Award to the On Point for College Math & Science Success project. The program will strategically advise two-year students to pursue Bachelor's degrees in STEM fields and strengthen the relationship of the program with SUNY Oswego, referring additional students to the University's STEM initiative.

Support in implementing the Stories to Light Our Way Education program and anti-bullying simulation games to promote positive changes in behavior, improved academic performance and a better more inclusive school environment.

Literacy needs assessment

Raising Kids Who Read: Funds will be used to expand literacy outreach to families in the county through a partnership with the Oswego County Fair this summer.

Funding will go towards the purchase and installation of a high ropes course, which is designed to appeal to the visual, kinesthetic, and auditory capacities of youth with particular attention being paid to the hard of hearing who attend the camp.
