Nonprofit Board Governance Series 1/3

“I’m doing what now?” – understanding board officer roles and practices

Very few children grow up yearning to be an officer on a nonprofit board. Many are drawn to these volunteer positions, while others are dragged. In this interactive Virtual Lunch and Learn, we will review legal roles and responsibilities, leading practices, and effective engagement with the whole board. We will also, as a group, learn how these positions are often different within nonprofits of varying sizes and capacities. A segment of this workshop will be focused on how to run productive meetings.

Nonprofit Board Governance Series 2/3

Reimagining Board Governance

This is an interactive workshop designed to encourage boards to rethink the traditional "one-size-fits-all" approach to governance and instead tailor their operations to their organization's unique challenges and opportunities. The workshop emphasizes the importance of strategic alignment, addressing governance challenges, and asking critical questions to uncover how the board can best support the organization’s goals. By the end of the session, board members will be equipped to foster collaboration, address complex dynamics, and drive sustainable organizational impact.
