This grant will fund "Healthy Families Oswego," a new county pilot of the Healthy Families New York Home Visiting program.
Funds will be used to increase services to more couples this year with expanded outreach and partnerships in Oswego County.
Funds will be used for an Alcohol Awareness Campaign, which includes an agency license to provide Responsible Server Training to liquor licensed facilities across the county.
Oswego Chapter: This grant will expand their mission to provide nutritious food on the weekend to any Oswego school-age child who needs it.
Northwest Family YMCA: This is a challenge/matching grant for up to $100,000, payable over five years, toward the last $1 million of their capital campaign.
Funds will be used to provide supervision and ensure safe, drug free emergency housing for at least 60 individuals in the first year; and help them obtain safe, affordable housing and necessary services within 30 days of emergency placement.
Funds will be used as bridge financing while alternative funding is being raised.
In jeopardy of reducing services due to a decrease in funding, funds will help support OCO’s Call-N-Ride program in order to sustain the current level of operations over the next year while alternative funds are secured.
Funds will be used to add dedicated equipment for their Inclusive Sports program that will eliminate the present redundant mileage cost associated with using their weekly program equipment.
Support Family Coordinator position to grow the position to full time. Intent is by 2016 the position will be fully funded by operating support.
