Oswego County Community Foundation

The Oswego County Community Foundation is a geographically-specific fund administered by the Central New York Community Foundation. This philanthropic initiative serves as a collection of gifts from many donors who are committed to preserving and enhancing the quality of life for residents of Oswego County through a permanent charitable endowment. Grants are awarded annually to aid vital programs in the fields of arts & culture, environment & animals, education, human services, health and civic affairs.

Mother Cabrini Health Foundation

Our mission is to provide grants to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable New Yorkers, bolster the health outcomes of diverse communities, eliminate barriers to care, and bridge gaps in health services.

We are motivated by the example of Mother Frances Xavier Cabrini, who worked tirelessly toward social justice and dedicated her life in service to the poor.

Women's Fund of Central New York

The Women’s Fund of Central New York, founded in 1998, is a volunteer-led fund which supports, empowers and recognizes the advancement and full participation of women and girls in Central New York through an endowment fund, grants and initiatives. The Women’s Fund of Central New York is an affiliate fund of the Central New York Community Foundation.

The Boeheim Foundation

The Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation strives to enrich the lives of kids in need within our Central New York Community, as well as, provide support for eliminating cancer through research and advocacy. The Foundation is committed to assisting organizations in need of funding to support innovative and creative projects and/or programs.

Garrett Dunsmoor Foundation

The Garrett Dunsmoor Memorial Foundation builds relationships with Oswego County organizations to help provide support to groups that share our vision: to improve the lives of youth in our community.

Grant Types and Requirements:

  • We focus on grant requests within the areas of Youth Sports, Youth Arts & Sciences, Community Projects, and Youth Advocacy.

  • All grants must further the foundation's mission to benefit youth in or around Oswego, NY.

  • All grants must go towards non-profit organizations

Central New York Community Foundation

The Central New York Community Foundation’s Strategic Partnership Fund supports organizations seeking to create new synergies in and between nonprofits that will enable them to enhance program delivery and achieve more effective and efficient use of limited financial and human resources.

The Dorothy and Marshall M. Reisman Foundation

Dorothy and Marshall M. Reisman owned the Wine Merchants, Ltd. Companies, located in New York, Ohio and Florida, for more than 50 years. Throughout their lives, the Reismans were passionate supporters of community organizations. Marshall was always willing to give an opportunity to someone who had a desire to succeed. The Foundation looks for that “desire to succeed” in its applicants.

Health Foundation of Western & Central New York

Founded in 2002 as the Community Health Foundation of Western and Central New York, they awarded their first grants in April 2004. Since that time, they have awarded more than 400 grants totaling more than $30 million to fund programs in 16 counties in western and central New York. From its inception, they have focused their funding on programs that improve health outcomes for two of the most vulnerable and underserved populations in their regions – older adults and children birth to age five who are impacted by poverty.

The Gifford Foundation

The Rosamond Gifford Charitable Corporation (The Gifford Foundation) is a private foundation dedicated to the stewardship of the funds entrusted to its care by Rosamond Gifford in 1954. The Foundation is committed to using its financial and human resources to build the capacity of individuals and organizations to enhance the quality of life for the people of Central New York.
