Funds will be used in five school districts in Oswego County to provide professional live theatre that directly enforces what students learn in the classroom.
Raising Kids Who Read: Funds will be used to expand literacy outreach to families in the county through a partnership with the Oswego County Fair this summer.
Funds will be used to offer fun, educational activities, such as the S.T.E.A.M. station and the Robotics station, to children this year at the Harborfest Children’s Park in Oswego.
This grant will be used for the Long-Range Implementation Plan Phase 1, Year 2 towards achieving an Absolute Charter from the NYS Board of Regents.
Funds will be used for the one day College Life program this spring at Fulton’s Cayuga Community College campus, giving 9th and 10th grade girls in Oswego County the opportunity to expand their horizons and learn what it would be like to go to college.
Funds will be used for professional photography for the artifacts in a new interactive Visitors Center Exhibit at the Fort. This project will be an important catalyst in spurring the movement to designate Fort Ontario as a National Park.
The school will become the Oswego City School District pilot school of the Leader in Me whole-school transformation program.
At the Art Studio: This grant will be used to expand the age range of students and offer two programs in the summer.
Funds will help start a Youth Conservatory that will provide music opportunities for K-12 students of Oswego County and beyond. This will be an ideal way for SUNY Oswego to share its unique resources with the community.
